International Labor Day

International Labour Day (May Day), observed every May 1st, honors the global workers' rights movement and the hard-fought struggle for fair wages and humane working hours. The tradition traces back to the late 19th-century labor movement in the United States, particularly the Haymarket affair of 1886. In Indonesia, Labour Day was officially declared a national public holiday in 2014.
