Memorial Day, observed every June 6th, honors the soldiers and patriots who gave their lives for the Republic of Korea. At 10 AM, a nationwide siren signals a one-minute moment of silence observed across the country. Official ceremonies are held at the Seoul National Cemetery and Daejeon National Cemetery, with the President of Korea presiding.
