Rama Navami celebrates the birth of Lord Rama, the seventh avatar of Vishnu and the protagonist of the Ramayana, born on the ninth day of the Chaitra month. Lord Rama is revered as an ideal king, devoted husband, and embodiment of dharma (righteousness). Celebrations include puja, bhajan, readings of the Ramayana, and rath yatras. The city of Ayodhya, believed to be Rama's birthplace, hosts the grandest celebrations with hundreds of thousands of pilgrims.
